CTC Coach Sue Warren:

Sue is a NCCP Trained Triathlon Coach.

She has a Bachelor of Physical Health Education from McMaster University.

Sue is a Can Fit Pro, Personal Trainer Specialist. She has coached for Speedplay Multisport Team, Town of Aurora Recreation,  and YMCA sports camps

She has over 15 years experience as Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor at GTA Fitness Clubs.

Her experience in coaching includes clinics, workout and program planning for running (cross country/track & field), triathlon, gymnastics, circuit training, indoor cycling, and core exercise for athletes of all age’s youth to 70, and all levels of fitness and experience.

Growing up she was very active with training and competing in many sports; gymnastics, diving, cross country running, and track and field. Then after many years of running events and having my 3 kids, I was inspired by Ironman Hawaii to do a triathlon. In 1999 I went to the Subaru Guelph Lake Sprint, I remember looking out over the water and asking my friend who was showing me what to do, “Wow, are you going to do front crawl that whole entire way?” She responded, “Umm, yah!!!”.  I got through the 750m swim, but it was a real mix up of “front crawl”, back and breast stroke, and thus I learned my first lesson of triathlon - each race will present you with a challenge, expect it and keep moving forward!  I was hooked, and have since participated in too many to count races at all distances. Along the way I have had the privilege of meeting great friends, fantastic coaches, experiencing beautiful sights & sounds, pain and elation, and feeling part of an inspirational sport community. Still to this day it brings me joy as I venture out for my daily training!

I started coaching triathlon so I could give back and help to inspire others to be involved with the sport. Through my years of training, I’ve come to believe that skill development, hard work, focus, and quality over quantity are the key ingredients to a successful outcome. These are the basic training principles that I use when coaching others to improve their fitness or reach their sport goals. However, the key to thriving in these endurance sports and staying with it is to make sure it’s FUN!

Kevin is an NCCP Triathlon Trained  Coach. Kevin’s first race entry was the 2013 Toronto Marathon, which he and his son completed together.

Immediately following that race, they were both sure it would be their last. The following year they switched to Triathlon and have both gone on to complete the Olympic, 70.3 and full Ironman distances (along with several other standalone marathons). Each year Kevin and his Son continue their tradition with a destination Ironman event. Now living in Collingwood full time, Kevin appreciates how triathlon contributes to a fit and healthy lifestyle. He looks forward to sharing his passion and experience with CTC members.

CTC Coach Ann Adams:

Ann is an NCCP Trained Triathlon Coach.

Ann and a few friends started running seriously in 2004. She joined a group of like minded people and trained and completed in her first marathon, in 2005, in Dublin.

In the years following, Triathlon was added to the mix, starting with Tri a Tri’s on a mountain bike, then getting serious by investing in a road bike and moving to the sprint and then the 70.3 distance.

Ann has completed multiple marathons, half marathons, sprint and 70.3 distances both as individual and as part of a relay.  Ann loves traveling to new places to race, and has a willing travel partner in her husband and the many friends met through running and triathlon.

Ann is looking  forward to supporting all club members in each of their stages of their triathlon journey.

Ann and her husband moved to Wasaga Beach  in 2020 and are enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.
