COLLINGWOOD TRIATHLON CLUB 2025

CTC SPRING/ SUMMER 2025 SCHEDULE WILL BE PUBLISHED IN EARLY JANUARY OR SOONER

Collingwood Triathlon Club (CTC) was formed in 2023.

We are now entering year 3 of our Club. In 2024 CTC won Triathlon Ontario’s Club Championship in Division 2.

We pride ourselves in creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all levels and distances.

Each athlete is encouraged to work within their own level of comfort and build upon that.

Our workouts run from May to the end of September.

Every workout has an NCCP Triathlon Coach in attendance.

Along with our regular training schedule, we will be offering various clinics throughout our 2025 season.

Current members have competed in Sprint, Olympic, 70.3, Ironman, Duathlon and Aqua-bike distances.

Several of our members have been new to Triathlon and several members have competed at Worlds in their specialized distances.

Whether you are highly competitive or just starting out, CTC is the Club for you.

CTC Members get together once a month socially to chat and share a meal.

Once you are a member of CTC, you will have access to our WhatsApp chat group which we use for day of training communication and organizing meet ups for outside of our scheduled training etc.

Although Collingwood Triathlon Club is its own entity, it is run thru Family Fun Fit.

CTC Coach Kevin Boughen:

Kevin is an NCCP Triathlon Trained  Coach. Kevin’s first race entry was the 2013 Toronto Marathon, which he and his son completed together.

Immediately following that race, they were both sure it would be their last. The following year they switched to Triathlon and have both gone on to complete the Olympic, 70.3 and full Ironman distances (along with several other standalone marathons). Each year Kevin and his Son continue their tradition with a destination Ironman event. Now living in Collingwood full time, Kevin appreciates how triathlon contributes to a fit and healthy lifestyle. He looks forward to sharing his passion and experience with all CTC members.

CTC Coach Ann Adams:

Ann is an NCCP Trained Triathlon Coach.

Ann and a few friends started running seriously in 2004. She joined a group of like minded people and trained and completed in her first marathon, in 2005, in Dublin.

In the years following, Triathlon was added to the mix, starting with Tri a Tri’s on a mountain bike, then getting serious by investing in a road bike and moving to the sprint and then the 70.3 distance.

Ann has completed multiple marathons, half marathons, sprint and 70.3 distances both as individual and as part of a relay.  Ann loves traveling to new places to race, and has a willing travel partner in her husband and the many friends met through running and triathlon.

Ann is looking  forward to supporting all club members in each of their stages of their triathlon journey.

Ann and her husband moved to Wasaga Beach  in 2020 and are enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.

Coach Cathie Price:

Cathie has been competing in Ironman and Ironman 70.3 since the 90's. She has been marathon running for more than 30 year.

Cathie has completed 23 Ironman and too many to count 70.3 distance races, more than 60 marathons, five 50 KM races and a 100-mile trail run. Now retired from her 'day job' she has more time to share her tremendous knowledge and passion of physical activity with others looking to embark on their 1st or 50th event. Cathie loves the journey of training and enjoys racing to see places around the world, meeting other people and staying fit and healthy. Cathie is both a coach for hire as well as one of our CTC Coaches who will run a weekly workout on our 2025 schedule.
