FAMILY FUN FIT NEWS
7th IRONMAN On June 27th I participated in my 7th ironman (Swim 2.4 Miles, Bike 112 Miles, Run 26.4 miles) in Couer D'Alene Idaho. As usual it was very challenging and took a lot to get it done. I was all full of relief, thanks , pride and smiles as I crossed that glorious finish line that I love so much and like all Ironman Triathletes, work so hard to get to. Of all my ironman races this one was particularly special as 7 of my friends also participated. For 4 of them this was their first Ironman experience and they all had success in completing the race. It was awesome! In July 2011 we are choosing Ironman 70.3 RHODE ISLAND as our big goal race. SWIM 2K BIKE 90K RUN 21K. If you have ever considered doing a 70.3 now is your chance to join us and get great training and support. DREAM BIG WORK HARD AND ACHIEVE. If you wish to discuss this as a possibility please send me a mail. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Our First Annual Beaches Splash and Dash is taking place on August 28 in the Toronto Beaches at the Summerville Pool. Volunteers are a huge part of our our Race Series Success . Volunteers help keep the kids safe and on course and help make our events run smoothly. This is a great way for High School Kids to earn volunteer hours needed for graduation. If you are able to join our Team at our Splah and Dash August 28 please send me a mail. ADULTS CAN RACE TOO AT OUR BEACHES SPLASH AND DASH AUGUST 28 We had so much fun adding the Try A Tri race to East End Triathlon that we decided to do the same thing at our First Annual Beaches Splash and Dash scheduled for August 28. Now the entire family can come out to join in the fun. Registration and all details are available by clicking on Race listed on left hand side. We hope to see you all in August!!!
East End Triathlon Our East End Kids Of Steel Triathlon was a great fun day. We had over 408 people registered with over 60 being in the Adult Try- A- Tri Category. It was so much fun seeing so many new faces at our event. Thank you for choosing our event to give it a Try! And thank you to all of our returning athletes that take part year after year. The forecast was calling for rain and some chance of lightning. We were thrilled that the weather was perfect thru out the entire event. Thank you so much for participating and we hope to see you at our other 2010 Race Series Events.
